Running has saved my life. During some of the darkest periods of my life, running has provided me an outlet to get out in nature, focus my mind, and be grateful for the hard things that push me to progress.

There is something majestic about jumping out of a plane. When I am close to the heavens and reminded of my mortality, it makes me appreciate every breath and every day as a divine gift.

This is my happy place. I love the stillness of the first chair, levitating on fresh powder, and the rush that comes from flying through the air—even when I wipe out.


Just like life, surfing can be tough. It takes a lot of effort and strength to paddle past the break. If I stand still, I get pummeled by the waves. So whether in the ocean or battling life, I keep moving forward and looking for the next wave to catch.
